Post-construction cleaning in Brussels.

After the works, fine dust is everywhere, down into the sockets and the window rails. We take it out, and you get a room that is ready to live in.

What we remove

A building site does not leave dirt behind. It leaves residue.

Plaster dust is so fine it slips under doors and settles a second time the next day. Fresh silicone leaves a greasy film on glass. Dried paint comes off with a blade, not a sponge. An ordinary clean is not enough: you have to know each residue and the tool that goes with it.

  1. 01The fine dustEverywhere, including where nobody looks: tops of doors, skirting boards, radiators, ventilation grilles, sockets and switches, window rails and hinges. Filtered vacuuming, then a damp wipe.
  2. 02Plaster, filler and glueSplashes on floors, frames, sanitary ware and sockets. Scraped off with a plastic blade so nothing is scratched, then wiped down.
  3. 03Silicone and paintSilicone films on tiles and glass, drops of dried paint, site marker traces. Removed with a blade and the solvent that suits each surface.
  4. 04The windows and framesBoth faces, the rails, the seals, the stickers and the tape residue from the protective film. It is the first thing you see when you walk into a finished room.
  5. 05Sanitary ware and kitchenBath, shower, WC, taps, worktop and units brought back to zero. We take off the veil of limescale and plaster that dulls new steel and enamel.
  6. 06The floorsWashed several times. After a building site, the first pass only moves the dust around; it is the third that leaves the floor clean. Parquet, tiles, polished concrete, vinyl: each its own product.

The method

One pass to rough it out, one pass to finish.

Post-construction cleaning is rarely done in a single visit. Plaster dust keeps settling for several days, and the last site adjustments add more. So we organise the job in two stages, and we write it in the quote.

First pass

Right after the works, before the furniture comes in. Heavy dusting from floor to ceiling, removal of the big residue, a first pass on the windows and sanitary ware. The room becomes usable.

Second pass

A few days later, once the dust has come down and the finishing is done. Detail cleaning: skirting boards, sockets, rails, windows redone, floors rewashed. The room becomes spotless.

A single pass is possible.
On a small, tidy site, or when the schedule leaves no choice, we do it all in one visit. We tell you plainly in the quote: the result is good, but the fine dust can reappear two or three days later, and you should know that beforehand.

What it costs

A price per m², not a rough guess.

Post-construction cleaning is priced per m², between 2 and 5 euros depending on the real state of the site, the amount of residue, the number of windows and bathrooms, and the number of passes. A site kept tidy by the company that did the work costs less than a site left as it is.

A concrete example. An 80 m² flat after a full renovation, two bathrooms, a kitchen, around ten windows, in two passes: you are in the region of 250 to 400 euros. The quote gives the firm price after a visit or a few photos, never a range that moves on the day.

If we did your works.
Then the post-construction cleaning is included in the renovation price, and it is written in the quote. This page is for those whose site was done by someone else.

Where we work

Three situations, the same trade.

The work is the same. What changes is when we come and who opens the door.

01

A renovated home

Flat or house, after a full renovation or a single room redone. We come before you move in, or just after if the furniture is already there. Landlords also call us before an inventory of fixtures.

02

Offices and floors

After a fit-out, a floor extension or works in the unit next door. We work at night or early morning, so the teams find clean desks and nothing is moved.

03

A shop or a unit

Retail space, practice, workshop, showroom. The window and the sign matter as much as the inside: it is the first thing your customer sees when you reopen.

The result

The room on the morning of the handover, before you arrive.

There is nothing spectacular to show. That is the point: you walk in, and there is nothing to pick up on.

The bathroomThe plaster veil taken off the enamel and the steel, the silicone cleaned from the glass and the tiles, the taps without a mark, the floor rewashed.

Frequently asked

What people ask us most.

What is included in a post-construction clean?

Fine dust everywhere, including in the sockets, the ventilation grilles and the window rails. Traces of plaster, silicone, glue and paint on floors, windows and sanitary ware. Windows and frames on both faces. Skirting boards, doors and switches. Sanitary ware and kitchen brought back to zero. The floor washed several times, because one pass is never enough after a building site.

How much does post-construction cleaning cost in Brussels?

Reckon on 2 to 5 euros per m², depending on the state of the site, the amount of residue and the number of windows and bathrooms. For an 80 m² flat after a full renovation, that puts the job around 250 to 400 euros. The quote gives a firm price after a visit, not a range.

Is one pass or two needed?

Often two. A first heavy dusting right after the works, then a second pass once the last adjustments are done and the furniture is in. Plaster dust keeps coming down for several days: a single pass too early and it reappears. We say so in the quote.

Do you work for offices and shops?

Yes. After a floor fit-out, a renovation of a retail space or works in a unit next door, the dust travels everywhere. We work outside opening hours, at night or early morning, so you reopen onto something clean.

Is the cleaning included if Freitas Group did the works?

Yes. When we carry out the renovation, the post-construction cleaning is included in the price and it is written in the quote. This page is for those whose works were done by someone else.

What is your service area?

A 30 km radius around Brussels: the nineteen Brussels communes, a large part of Walloon Brabant and the south of Flemish Brabant.
